I have deleted your other post because it's a duplicate of this one.
The price of those tickets are pretty high and the way the event has been advertised on ebay rather strange I must say.
I wish you could give us some assurance you are indeed contracted with Ronnie and Jimmy to organise this event.
I've sent a mail to Paul Mount - Jimmy's manager - about it, without an answer until now. _________________ "When you see someone with tears in his eyes you want to help him. That was more important than any tournament."

Apologies I made a type error with that price. I dont need a contract from Ronnie or Jimmy to do this. Their word is good enough, and as long time friends I trust them. I can advertise this on Ebay should I wish, afetr all the more publicity the better. Charity is charity and as Jimmy said we want to make a lot of money.
I was advised by an ebayer who bought tickets to go on here, but may be I should not have done so!!
Thanks for your comments, of which I shall discuss with Ronnie and Jimmy - but we were only thinking of you fans. At the end of the day I could sell these tickets a hundred times over, as, if you know much about Ronnie, you will know that he does not do this kind of thing! _________________ Jacki |

Jacki, thanks to a member here I got reassured about this exhibition. You must understand that not long time ago there was a scam involving people selling tickets for a Jimmy exhibition that did not exist. This is I'm afraid what happens when people are "celebrities", some try to use their names.
I just wanted to be cautious until I was reassured that this is not a scam ... for the sake of the fans also
Thanks to VistoryV who pointed to me this:

| Quote: | Snooker star: Why I’m playing town charity match for Jacki
6:00pm Wednesday 11th August 2010
TWO all-time snooker greats will face off in Colchester to raise money for charity.
Ronnie O’Sullivan and Jimmy White will play each other at Charter Hall to raise money for the Helen Rollason Cancer Charity.
Jacki Ithier, of Wordsworth Avenue, Maldon, forged a close link with Ronnie O’Sullivan’s family in the early Nineties, and recently ran the 5km Cancer Research Race for Life in Chelmsford, alongside his sister Danielle and mother Maria.
Jacki, 43, is having treatment for breast cancer, and she has persuaded the three-time world champion to play against Jimmy White on August 30, with all proceeds going to charity.
She said: “I really wanted to throw myself into something like organising this charity event to give something back. I’ve known Ronnie for a long time and I asked if he would do a snooker exhibition. I was delighted when he agreed.
“In February, my entire world fell apart when it was confirmed I had breast cancer and would have to undergo immediate chemo- therapy, followed by an operation and more chemotherapy.”
O’Sullivan said: “It is a real privilege to work with Jacki on this event. I don’t normally do exhibitions or appearances, but I am really happy to support her on this.”
The match will take place between 6pm and 11pm at Charter Hall, in Cowdray Avenue, Colchester. Tickets are £27.50, with VIP passes available for £100, which includes 45 minutes in a private room with the two players.
There will also be an auction with goods. To get tickets, visit www.charter-hall.co.uk or call 01206 282020, or 07910 680648.

Once again my apologies to Jacki. I didn't want to be rude or difficult. Just cautious. There have been a few hoaxes and cons recently about exhibitions, notably with Jimmy.
I wish Jacki all the best and hope the exhibition will be a huge success and, more importantly, that she will recover promptly and be well soon. _________________ "When you see someone with tears in his eyes you want to help him. That was more important than any tournament."

It really was a fantastic night. Jimmy beat Ronnie 3 frames to 1 but as previously posted Ronnie did hit a 147 in the frame!!
If anyone ever has a chance to go VIP they really must!! We had approx 45 minutes in a private room with Ronnie, Jimmy, Michaela & John Virgo. We had photos taken which were than printed out and we could buy. It's a neighbours 90th birthday today so I took a birthday card and asked all of them to sign it for her, which they did with a few comments on her age!! I think she'll be very pleased when I give it to her tomorrow.
During the interval there were a lot of items up for auction which all sold for a fantastic amount of money. Nirav, who won the auction when I went to the exhibition at St Austell last year won the auction there to play doubles with Ronnie for £380!! He's also a Michael Jackson look a like and entertained us with his moonwalk around the table. Jimmy, Ronnie and Michaela as well as the audience were laughing their heads off _________________ PROUD WINNER OF THE 2009 UK CHAMPIONSHIP LUCKY DIP!! |

There was a magician called Michael J Fitch who also entertained the VIP area before the event and also the main event. He was really great.
Ronnie looked really happy & relaxed. It was a fantastic night for a fantastic cause.
I would like to thank Jacki for organising it. _________________ PROUD WINNER OF THE 2009 UK CHAMPIONSHIP LUCKY DIP!! |

As there was an official photographer at the event & all monies were for charity we weren't encouraged to take photographs but in the VIP lounge I did take one of Dan (my son) with Ronnie & Jimmy while the official photographer was taking their photo so I'll get that uploaded. I'm also getting the official photos we bought scanned so will upload them to.
The official photographers site is
www.DEphotos.co.uk
the photos from the event are on there under charity events.
Enjoy!! _________________ PROUD WINNER OF THE 2009 UK CHAMPIONSHIP LUCKY DIP!! |

By john perfect john.perfect@essexchronicle.co.uk
A SNOOKER exhibition organised by a breast cancer patient currently undergoing chemotherapy has raised more than £13,000 for the Helen Rollason Cancer Charity.
Jacki Ithier, from Maldon, was proud to see hundreds of people flock to Charter Hall, Colchester for the event.
Guests saw snooker legends Ronnie O'Sullivan and Jimmy White fight it out on Monday evening, with White emerging the 3-1 winner.
Jacki said: "The exhibition was an absolute storm. I have spoken with some fantastic people in the last few months.
"Some of them who called me to purchase tickets introduced themselves to me on the night, thanking me for making their dreams come true.
"One man from Heybridge – Colin Chattey – came as a guest VIP. Unfortunately he too is now battling cancer and has raised a lot of money for charity. Jimmy and Ronnie have always been his favourite sportsmen and he told me over and over how I had made his lifetime dream come true.
"I am absolutely thrilled with how well this event has turned out. It's great to have pulled it off!
"I'd like to thank everyone who supported this exhibition, which was my first ever charity fundraising event."
Ronnie O'Sullivan said: "Jacki and I have known each other a long time and I think her determination to give something back to charity is wonderful, which is why I wanted to help."
Jacki was diagnosed in February 2010. She said: "I was absolutely devastated and tried to not get upset in front of my family and friends. Instead I turned my hand to fundraising for a charity which has helped me through a tough time."
Her future charity events include:
Football Tournament with Essex Audi and Daen Ingas, at Maldon Town FC on October 8. For information and tickets call 07910 680 648.
White Tie and Tiara Charity Ball
