Infiniti automobile, the high-end department of Japan’s Nissan, revealed today the birth of a new crossover coming to its lineup of luxury cars. Infiniti plans to provide the production-ready QX55 high-end sport energy coupe by next summer, telling us it’s intending to inhabit the crossway of art, design, engineering, and technology.

News of the QX55 was shared at the Concours D’Elegance 2019 in Monterey, California, though while Infiniti is remaining mum on nearly all of the details, it did offer us a clue as to what the car will appear like. The automaker provided a piece of standard Kanji art work that displays two (to be exact) classy and elongated brushstrokes– apparently the summary communicates the essence of what the new QX55 will be. For the rest we’ll require to wait twelve to thirteen months, with the production vehicle set to launching sometime throughout the summer of2020

Today, however, all Infiniti will validate is that the brand-new QX55 will be motivated by the business’s iconic first-generation FX efficiency crossover. That makes a whole lot of sense in today’s market, the days of coupes falling by the wayside as worldwide patterns revealed a boost in appetite for SUVs.

” The INFINITI QX55 is a spectacular new SUV coupe in the heart of one of the industry’s fastest growing segments, worldwide,” Mike Colleran, Infiniti Motor’s Business Deputy Chairman, explained. “Customers will appreciate the distinct style of the QX55 which includes a sporty coupe-line roofline.

” Infiniti has taken actions over the last 2 years– under the influence of International Design Director Alfonso Albaisa– to make it a point to include bolder style and design elements, in the hopes of distinguishing themselves much better in the marketplace. After all, standing apart from competitors is important, and the automaker believes the method forward is through a less traditional method to style. That message is now at the very heart of the company’s culture, and something it prides itself on.

The FX, however, is a difficult act to follow. Discontinued in 2013, and its spot in Infiniti’s range changed by the QX50, it assisted develop the business’s design and efficiency credentials. The QX55 promises to combine its coupe-esque roofline with modern-day Infiniti engineering such as the VC-Turbo engine available in the QX50 SUV

That’s all speculation, however, and will remain that way up until next year. Till then, we should sit tight, with legs crossed, waiting to know for sure what the new QX55 will look like, together with its performance specifications.
