After unveiling the 997 H previously this year, New Balance continues to check out the possibilities of the 997 silhouette with the 997 Sport. Providing the popular sneaker another contemporary upgrade, the new generation of 997 s brings a more streamlined seek to the ’90 s kicks and introduces a modern-day sole unit for the most staple and comfortable underfoot experience yet.

Created by well-known sneaker designer Steven Smith, the 997 was developed in 1991 with equivalent emphasis on innovation, comfort, and design. The silhouette introduced a brand-new aesthetic to the 99 x variety in addition to a new ENCAP sole unit that included C-Cap compression-molded EVA within it.

The 997 Sport sees this hybrid sole unit advanced with Encap Reveal innovation and Abzorb cushioning in the midfoot for optimal assistance, toughness, and exceptional shock absorption. Merging old and new, the upper pays homage to the original 997 but has been remodelled to produce a more form-fitting and streamlined shape. The collar boasts a booty building and construction for an easy instep and tight fit, while fine-tuned details such as textile joint tape on the tongue and TPU collar strap include a premium feel to the modern sneaker.

The most recent drop sees the silhouette dressed up in 3 brand-new colorways: Castlerock/Amazonite, White/Morrocan Tile, and Gunmetal/Verdite. Set versus a monochrome base, each version features pops of bold main color giving the tennis shoe a stylish feel. All three colorways retail for EUR110/$120 and are readily available world now.
